“Greetings, in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. I am thankful and give praise and honor to the most-high God for your decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. As your pastor, I encourage you to take advantage of every opportunity to learn to Worship God and Proclaim Jesus Christ by the Power of the Holy Spirit. We are the friendly church with the friendly pastor, and we follow Jesus’ command to love one another as He has loved us. Therefore, we strive for the advancement of this church in caring, holiness, and knowledge.

The body of believers that you are a part of in the Greater Springfield Missionary Baptist Church believes that Jesus is the best thing that happened to us ‘and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world’ (1 John 2:2). I admonish you to acknowledge God in all your ways and lean not on your own understanding and He will direct your path. I love you. And I look forward to the privilege of guiding you to be holy, because he is holy, and faithful, because He is faithful, as your humble servant in Christ Jesus.

About Our Baptist Church

Our mission is Christ’s Great Commission:

  • To go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.
  • To preach and teach the scriptures given by inspiration of God, which are profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, and for instruction in righteousness to live holy and acceptable unto God: That the saints of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped unto all good works.

Our Belief

We Believe

  1. In the Trinity of One God: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
  2. The Bible is given by the Inspiration of God.
  3. Jesus Christ died for our sins and rose after three days with all power and is seated at the right side of God in heaven interceding on behalf of those that Believe in Him.
  4. We are saved through Faith in Jesus Christ.
  5. The Holy Spirit lives in and comforts all Believers until Christ returns to take us to a place that He has prepared for those that Believe in Him.
  6. The Church is Many Members in one baptism and the Body of Christ. Christ is the head of His Church.
  7. As Believers, saved by Grace, we must execute the Great Commission of Christ to spread the Gospel (Good News) to all nations.
  8. In the Second Advent of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
